Getting from the Airport to the City Centre

There are a number of ways to get from the airport to the city centre upon landing in Sydney. Taxis are obviously the most popular option for the busy corporate traveller. Each terminal at the Sydney International Airport has its own sheltered taxi rank, and a one-way trip to the CBD usually costs around $30 or $40. However, frequent traffic jams can end up making the 12km trip seem like an eternity, so depending on the time of day, you may want to consider taking the train. Sydney’s Airport Link costs just $16 and takes between 10 and 13 minutes to reach the city centre (depending on whether you depart from the domestic or international terminal).

Co-working Spaces in Sydney

Sometimes you may need to find a quiet place to get some work done whilst on an important business trip. Although working at a café or in your hotel room may suffice for most situations, at times you may need the facilities and conducive working environment that only a co-working space can provide. There are a number of top notch co-working spaces within the confines of the CBD that you may want to visit, including Fishburners and HUB Sydney. Desks can be booked by the day or by the month, and most spaces offer co-workers access to meeting rooms, a kitchen, printing facilities and even free tea and coffee!

Booking Extra Flights

If you need to book an extra flight or two whilst doing business in Sydney – either around Australia or overseas – you’re in luck. Sydney has its fair share of reputable corporate travel agents, such as Corporate Traveller, that cater exclusively to the savvy business traveller. Many of these agencies can also offer competitive business class airfares to a number of destinations around the world.

Staying Fit and Healthy in Sydney

Although you may feel you simply don’t have to time to exercise when away on an important business trip to Sydney, it’s important that you don’t neglect your health. After all, your overall productivity suffers if you don’t look after your body (and mind). Thankfully, in a city such as Sydney, staying fit and healthy isn’t that hard at all. There are a number of gyms scattered all across the city, and most are easily accessible via public transport. You might also want to check to see if your hotel has a gym that you can use before or after your important business meetings. Most hotels catering to business travellers have in-house gyms (although the facilities on offer can vary dramatically).

So there you have it. Sydney has so much more to offer than the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Bondi Beach. It’s also a hub for business, and a comfortable one at that.
