Why you need to take a trip to Israel

If you only see Israel on the news, you could be forgiven for assuming it’s dangerous for tourists. But the reality couldn’t be further from the truth, and this country has something to offer everyone, regardless of your age and budget.

Here are a few reasons why you need to take a trip to Israel:

Year-round sun

Bet you didn’t know Israel has more than 300 days of sunshine every year. This has made the country a pioneer when it comes to solar energy. In July, you’ll find average highs of 31C, making it a more interesting vacation destination than the Mediterranean if you like it hot. But even in the winter months, you can enjoy temperatures around 18 degrees. If you want the perfect combination of fewer crowds and great weather, book flights to Israel in Spring or Fall.

Incredible Nightlife

If you thought New York was the “City That Never Sleeps” wait until you see Tel Aviv. The party scene here could give Ibiza or Las Vegas a run for their money. This is a hedonist’s paradise, with underground clubs, chic bars, and plenty of alternative, bohemian spots.

Here, you’ll also find some of the most unique and sophisticated bars in the world. The Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar was voted as the best bar in the Middle East and Africa in 2014, and as one of the best in the world in 2015. Here, you’ll enjoy unique twists on some classic cocktails, along with delicious original concoctions. The best part? You won’t need to worry about getting kicked out- this bar is opened until the last patron leaves.

Amazing Architecture

In Tel Aviv, you’ll find plenty of buildings built in the Bauhaus-style. Here, you’ll find the White City district which is a World Heritage Site and home to more than 4000 buildings on the list. Check out Bialik Street, which is one of the most picturesque in Tel Aviv and a great place to see examples of both Bauhaus and a range of other historic styles.

The entire country is incredible when you consider the architecture which dates back three millennia. Buildings were inspired by Ottoman Turkish, Roman, and Persian architecture.

Sprawling Museums

You probably didn’t know that Israel is home to more museums per capita than any other country. You’ll have more than 230 to choose from, making it an excellent place to visit if you love your history.

Be sure to check out Design Museum holon which is the only museum in Israel dedicated entirely to design art.
