Best historical places in Europe

I have been travelling the world for quite some time now and one of my favorite countries to go to is Europe. Europe is a country full of amazing places and history. If you are into the past, Europe is the best place to go to and see old buildings rich in history and many archaeological sites you can explore and eDreams can help you have an amazing historic places travel experience, I now have here the best places the best historical places in Europe that you can visit:

1. Berlin

As the capital city, it’s Germany’s largest, and offers plenty of incredible things to see and do. Cool, edgy and full of history. Berlin has a rich and famous history, and you’ll be able to soak up a lot of it in the city. During your stay you’ll want to add the Brandenburg Gate, the Rebuilt Reichstag and the Berlin War memorial to your list of things to see. You will also find some great museums and beautiful buildings to explore that will be sure to make you fall in love with Berlin.

2. Istanbul

Cities are must visit destinations which show you the true way of life in a country, and picking which city you’re going to visit can be a tough decision indeed. It’s important to head to a city which calls out to you, one which has culture and sights you are interested in, and for me, that would always be the mystery and intrigue of the only city in the world to straddle two continents; I am of course talking about beautiful Istanbul. You might think that Istanbul is too far away for a long weekend city break, but in fact it is only a four hours’ flight away from the UK.

3. Venice

There’s nowhere else in the world quite like Venice. Surrounded by water on all sides, the idea of building a city on a lagoon was a crazy one, but it still stands today as one of the world’s most popular places to visit. As well as the scenery, the city is a cultural capital with its mix of beautiful art, elegant opera and fine cuisine.  The top places you can go to here are The Grand Canal, St Mark’s Square, Burano Island and Santa Maria della Salute.

4. Malta

Malta is famous for the fact that it gets more than 300 days of sunshine per year, more than practically any other island in the Mediterranean. For this reason, it’s widely considered to be one of the best value places to go, since you’re almost guaranteed sunshine. Accommodation is cheap too, and so is the food, thanks to depressed local prices.

5. Dubrovnik

With views over the Adriatic Sea, this has to be one of the most breath-snatching cities we have ever seen. It is impossible not to fall in love with everything you see (and not get excited by the fact you’re stood in the place they filmed Game of Thrones). The ancient city walls, the Old City, the relaxed vibe; oh it has it all.
